Unlike other districts, 27J is bringing new and advanced STEM/CTE training straight to students this fall with new training centers opening right next to each high school. No 27J student needs to drive around town or miss out on the best CTE and STEM courses.
Also, Thornton is getting a new, STEM-focused K-8 magnet school that’s available to students throughout 27J thanks to the 2021 Bond Program. The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Discovery Magnet School took place Aug. 4.
A historic year of construction is winding down as construction teams put the finishing touches on four (yes, that’s right, four) new school construction projects – one new magnet K-8 school and three new STEM/CTE Centers. Staff is invited to celebrate the completion of these projects at upcoming ribbon cutting ceremonies and open houses.
