27J Schools cuts ribbon on Discovery Magnet School in Thornton

27J Schools celebrated the recent completion of Discovery Magnet School with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by students, their families, staff, district leaders and local dignitaries.  The school’s yet-to-be-named mascot helped Principal Dr. Sheri Collier cut the ribbon for the district’s first-ever K-8 magnet school which offers a science-based curriculum. 

The ribbon cutting was immediately followed by Back to School Night, during which students and their families toured the building and met their teachers.
